Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the CMMI and People CMM product suites including development and deployment of the product and all product assets.  This position is also responsible for creating repeatable services based on or related to the CMMI or People CMM, leading delivery teams, and managing, mentoring and developing staff. This role is part of the Product Development department; the mission is to evolve the CMMI, P CMM and DMM to meet stakeholder needs.  This is accomplished by doing market research to understand the needs of the market, developing plans to collaborate with stakeholders and develop solutions to meet those needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide vision and lead product development and marketing through all stage of the product lifecycle.
    • Analyze market developments, market trends and competition and develop new product concepts and requirements according to needs
    • Plan development, peer review, and product augmentation efforts
    • Interface with customers and sales organization to drive product direction and ensure capabilities meet customer satisfaction goals
    • Prioritize product and customer requirements refine product vision, work closely with product architect, training development manager, business development manager and marketing to oversee and approve product iterations, enhancements, and quality.
    • Build appropriate plans and contribute to business/financial models to support product development and decision making processes
    • Support marketing and sales efforts for products and Partnerships
    • Perform industry outreach to gain perspectives on content and implementation considerations
  • Provide expertise and visibility for the product suite as a spokesperson, conference presenter, and other venues (e.g., webinars, sales support)
  • Own ongoing financial performance of product suite

Education/Experience:

  • Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent experience
  • CMMI experience required
  • Recognized as an expert in Project Management, Process Management, People Management, Product Engineering and Development, and/or Service Delivery and Management, knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices
  • Extensive consulting background and track record of successfully leading major projects
  • Works without supervision with latitude for independent judgment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required for interactions across organization including experience in facilitating large group meetings and presenting to senior management.
  • Proven abilities in organizational change management, leading multiple projects, facilitating workshops, and conducting business interviews at all staff levels
